Connecting the Researcher Profile in UKB with the ORCID profile

ORCID profile authentication is available to logged-in users who have an ID entered in their profile:

If the ID is missing, it can be completed by editing the profile (the "Edit" button in the upper right corner of the page).

The system Omega-PSIR complies with ORCID requirements for certified service providers - therefore, once an ORCID ID is entered, it is not possible for the researcher to edit it. To change the number, contact the editor.

To authenticate your profile in ORCID, click "Authenticate in ORCID" in the Knowledge Base. The user will be redirected to the ORCID page to confirm that Omega has been granted access to add and update scientific activities in the ORCID system.

If you have not been logged into ORCID before, you will need to log in first, the authentication page will be displayed in the next step.

After clicking "Authorize access", the user will be redirected back to the Knowledge Base page, where he/she will receive information about the authorization status and, using the "Go to profile" button, will be able to return to his profile.

If, after being redirected to Omega-PSIR, the user is told that authorization has failed, a second attempt must first be made.

It may happen that this message is received by a user who was logged into ORCID before the authentication operation started. In this case, you should first log out of ORCID and then perform the authentication again.

If the second attempt fails, contact the editor.

Publications can be submitted to the system using the "Export output to ORCID" button. The ORCID reports a successfully completed export.

The information "Export to ORCID successfully completed" means that all publications and patents have been transferred to ORCID.

The appearance of a message that part of the output has not been submitted means that the system detected that the work was already in the ORCID system and did not submit it.

If you notice deficiencies in the records on the ORCID side, please contact the editor.
