Removing connection with the ORCID profile

In some specific situations there may be a need to revoke the authorization.

After clicking Withdraw ORCID authentication, a window for sending messages to the editor is displayed, where you should provide your e-mail address and the reason for withdrawing authentication (the most common reason is an incorrect ORCID). The designated editor may contact the researcher to discuss additional issues.

Note that the institution from the trusted list in the ORCID account is removed separately (trash icon).

An additional option to remove ORCID immediately has been introduced - it skips the form for the editor. This option should be used with caution, however, because the ORCID system assigns user tokens for a long time (20 years) - removing tokens requires waiting before reconnecting due to the need to process the data on the ORCID system side.
