Searching with the query form

Query forms make possible to retrieve the resources collected in the database, usually for the purpose of verifying and modifying them. They provide advanced functionalities to formulate even very complex queries.

The editor can use one of the options Standard Search or Search by Example:

 

The Standard Search interface, adapted to the currently browsed object type, allows you to:

  • select fields for which the search will be performed. The search fields are grouped into various categories and criteria

  • provide search terms to the required fields, and possibly use logical operators if needed

The standard search form presented below shows an example of querying or publications in which a given person is the first author:

There is no need to enter accented charavters as the system ignores diacritics. It is recommended to formulate the query using the most important words, rather than providing the full phrase, name or title.

The Search by Example interface allows you to search using the form for bibliographic description, where some example values can be entered. For example, if the checkbox as below are checked, the system will retrieve completed records describing popular science arteicles, which are in press
