Papers from Journals and Chapters from Books

Choose the tab Articles and chapters if you have to enter records at the analytical level - descriptions of documents that are not independent in terms of publishing, i.e..:

  • journal papers

  • chapters from books

  • articles from conference materials

  • translations of journal papers or book chapters.

Descriptions of these publications should include a link to the parent record at the monograph level, e.g. a chapter from a book refers to the book record, an article from a journal to the journal record. Registering an encyclopedia/dictionary article should be made as a description of a chapter from a book linked to the description of a book marked as Encyclopedia/dictionary.

Before you start entering data, check whether a given record is not already registered in the database. More in chapters Searching with the query form i Entering a new record

System Fields

We can add publication identifiers in external systems here.

System Scoring tab

If the system installation supports a scoring system then during saving the record, the system will automatically assign scoring points and display them in the Score (total) field. The editor does not have the authority to change the data in this tab on his own.

After saving the publication, check whether the system has correctly assigned points for a given work. If you detect any irregularities, report it to a person with appropriate authorizations.
