European Patent Office Database

The Knowledge Base system allows for automatic acquisition of descriptions of European patents from the EPO database for the case when the patent number is known. Below are the steps you need to follow.

1. In the editor panel, in Auxiliary Functions, select the Import function

2. In the import window, select the EPO tab

3. In the field EPO patent number enter the patent number in the format: Format of {patentNumber} is country-code + number + correction-code + kind-code, e.g. EP1004359NWB1

The consecutive steps as as in the case of other imports (BibTeX, DOI ).
