Data Retrieval and Presentation

In the Knowledge Base, integrated data is presented and made available in several ways. The user can browse individual modules, each of which has a separate search engine adapted to the presented data. In the figure below, a typical start page is shown. This page is built of 2 parts:

  • the menu (repeated on all the other pages) - can be used to select a specific module

  • and below you can see seach part when a global query to search over all the types of objects can be formulated.

Some seach functions in the Knowledge Base are publicly available, some other require logging in (for example contextual search, self-editing the researcher's profile, adding publications by the author). In this Section we will present in a general way how to formulate a query and what can be done with the obtained answer.
