Researcher's Profile

The description of a person is implemented by a structure named Author.

An important element of the description of an researcher profile is the status of the person:

• Employee - value given to university employees

• Employee-Doctoral student - value given to university employees who are also doctoral students

• Doctoral student - value given to doctoral students (participating in doctoral studies or students of a doctoral school)

• Graduate - value given to graduates of the university

• Emeritus - value given to retired university employees (their achievements are stored in the database)

• Guest - value given to guests of the university, staying temporarily at the university (visiting professor, postdoc)

• External- value given to scientists cooperating with the other categories of persons registered in the database.

Persons can appear in the Knowledge Base as, among others:

• author

• project manager or contractor

• persons from outside the university (co-authors of works carried out at the university, external partners in projects).

The profile of a scientist in the Knowledge Base:

• consists of information about the person, such as: information about the position, about the title, contact information, identifiers in external systems or affiliation to a particular organizational unit, employment status, inclusion in the number "N"

• is linked to other objects in the database such as publications, achievements or activities.
