BibTeX

Using files in the BibTeX format, you can import data to the Knowledge Base. BibTeX is the format that can be used in exporting data from various databases and systems, e.g. from ORCID, Google Scholar, or bibliography management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote.

Having generated a file in BibTeX (UTF-8 encoding required), you can import this file to the Knowledge Base as follows:

  1. In the Editor Panel, in Auxiliary Functions, select the optoin Import

  2. In the import window, select the BibTeX tab and then Import BibTeX

  3. Select the file from your desktop to be imported

  4. After uploading the file to the server, information regarding the import process will be presented

  5. Click Continue button to start the process of importing data into the repository

While importing data, the following message may appear:

The imported records are ambiguous. Select the corresponding records from the repository.

If you decide that none of the records proposed by the system is a duplicate of the currently imported record, click Add new

It's a good idea to write down the import ID (id:1588784209278 in the example) in your notes because you can then use it to search for records imported during the given import step.

Importing data in RIS format is carried out similarly.
