Importing data into the Knowledge Base

Importing data into the Knowledge Base

An authorized editor has the ability to supplement the collection of publications authored by the authors from the unit(s) he is assigned to manage. Metadata import can be done in several ways, including:

  • automatic loading of bibliographic data by providing DOI

  • automatic data import (Scopus, Pubmed)

  • importing data from a file in BibTeX or RIS format.

The imported records have the status Incomplete. After importing the editor has to

  • check the correctness of all downloaded data

  • create links with other objects in the Knowledge Base, e.g. if you have imported:

    • description of a chapter from a book - should be linked to the entire book

    • conference material - should be related to the conference event.

More in the section Bibliographic categories

After verifying the data in all tabs of the form, you can change the status to Complete.
