Catalogues

Catalogs are containers for multimedia. Depending on the individual needs of the research and teaching unit and the nature of the imported content, catalogs on various portals may be marked, among others, by pages, channels and categories.

Directories have a hierarchical structure - each directory may also contain subdirectories at any level of nesting (the parent directory option appears only when the database contains at least one directory record).

If you plan locating multimedia in catalogues you can build a catalogue record manually.

In case of registering multimedia from YouTube you can “import” catalogue automaticaly by the Acquisition function from Yutube. The main form is shown below

Having defined catalogues you can assign particular media to the catalogue. Catalogues are especially useful when you are going to observe some Youtube chanels in order to acquire some interesting movies to the Knowledge Base.
