Project categories assigned to classes

Defining object classes allows you to divide projects into different classes. Such division is performed on the basis of type of projects/programs/activities. Thus, specific projects will belong to the indicated class of objects (projects).

The tree of project categories used in the project database is a hierarchical structure, and the elements of this structure, i.e. whole branches, sub-branches and/or individual nodes, can be assigned to a specific class of objects (see Project categories ).

Assignmentsof a project category to a class of objects are inherited, which means that subordinate elements in a given (sub)branch of the tree receive the assignment of a higher-level node, unless a given node at a lower level has a new assignment.

At the bottom of the first tab of the project/program/activity type description form, there is a recurring field Project Class:

In this case, the entire branch of projects of the type NCN-funded projects has been assigned to the class COP-managed projects..

In the case of project branches of the Projects contracted by Business type, assignment to the Department-Managed Projects object class has been determined, as illustrated in the following figures.
