In the doctoral system, the form can be used not only to describe the doctoral dissertation, but also to describe the status of work on the doctoral thesis, in particular after assigning a supervisor to the doctoral student, the status of work on the doctoral thesis can be set as "in progress".

The fields that should be given special attention when entering a given type of publication are discussed below.

Basic data

Fill in the fields:

  • author

  • supervisor

  • title

  • Language

  • diploma unit or diploma institution (if outside PW)

  • work status and the corresponding dependent fields:

    • Start date,

    • Defense date or End date

 

 

It is possible to :

  • select a scientific discipline from the discplines index (It is OECD, but can be adjusted to the university needs.

  • provide referrees - internal and external

  • attach a file with the review text

  • mark if the work has been distinguished

The end date means the date of awarding the doctoral degree (usually by the Faculty Council).

If the unit's regulations provide for mandatory archiving of doctoral theses in the Knowledge Base, a file with the full text of the thesis should be added. More in the chapter Adding files (formats, licensing)
